The name Tas Smöt Kez is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Tas Smöt Kez was founded by Dyeg̈mênm Ezaenzo, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Tas Smöt Kez has a yearly average temperature of 9°C (48°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cool 14°C (57°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 4°C (39°F). Tas Smöt Kez receives an average of 185 cm/y (72 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Tas Smöt Kez covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 1536 m (5039 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Tas Smöt Kez was founded durring the early 13th century in spring of the year 1231, by Dyeg̈mênm Ezaenzo. The establishment of Tas Smöt Kez was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Dyeg̈mênm Ezaenzo electing to pay people to resettle in Tas Smöt Kez.
Tas Smöt Kez was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Tas Smöt Kez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Tas Smöt Kez is buildings are arranged arround a network of narrow cobblestone streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town lacks any defencive features, though certainly constructing even a simple fence or digging a ditch is at the forefront of the 's mind. At least, one would hope so.
A look around Tas Smöt Kez seems to be home to a quite vibrant and boisterous community. Everywhere one looks they can see people going out their daily business with a smile and a spring in their step. Children play loudly in the streets, causing untold havoc as youth are want and allowed to do. On second glance, that chaos continues into adulthood. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Tas Smöt Kez has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Tas Smöt Kez.
Tas Smöt Kez has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.
Tas Smöt Kez has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.
Tas Smöt Kez has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Tas Smöt Kez's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.
Tas Smöt Kez possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.
Tas Smöt Kez has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.
Tas Smöt Kez has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Cultural Notes
One or more crime bosses have a powerful influence within Tas Smöt Kez. They may control crime within the community itself, or they may use it simply as a safe haven from which to direct their minions elsewhere. Local law enforcement may know all about them, but lack the strength to confront them and their paid or intimidated henchmen.
Tas Smöt Kez's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.
In Tas Smöt Kez most nights are accompanied by colorful ribbons of light in the sky.
The Hoar Spirit near Tas Smöt Kez are known to be more aggressive than normal.
Tas Smöt Kez's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves line dance to channel Mysticism energies of tier 1 via chanting.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century an up-welling of water from beneath the earth caused Stream Choral to surge and overflow its banks. The resulting flood was isolated to the area around Tas Smöt Kez, which was swallowed by the waters for several days. Tas Smöt Kez lost 247 people, 125 livestock, and 78 buildings in the disaster. The disaster is remembered as the Horror Drownings.
